Being Different Is Great

We all tend to compare ourselves to other people. We are jealous of other people when we think they are smarter than us, or prettier than us, or richer and more successful than us. It's horrible to feel that you are stupid, or ugly, or going nowhere in your life.

But the truth is, we are all born with different gifts, abilities, and passions. The fact that everyone is different is part of what makes life interesting and worthwhile.

Even if you're not that great at math or science, maybe you are very good at organizing, or cheering people up, or dancing. Maybe you're not a great writer, but if you enjoy writing then that it shouldn't matter what other people think. And who knows, you might improve enough to be just as good or better!

Not everybody can be good at everything. People often complement each other, supporting each other where the other person is weaker.

Every day think about your passions, goals, and abilities. Maximize your abilities, follow your passions, and work toward your heart's true goals. Learn to appreciate and enjoy other people's gifts, as well as your own.
