Get Your Time Back

Do you feel like you never have time to get anything done anymore? Like you are constantly busy, but can never fully complete any of your tasks?

In today's fast-paced world, there is pressure to DO as much as you can as quickly as possible. We are surrounded by information overload: TV, internet, radio, and advertising. Everyone wants everything instantly and cheaply.

Our poor, frail human minds just can't take it. We try to multi-task to get more done, but instead end up getting less done. We try to do as much as possible to maximize our life experiences, but end up not enjoying anything we do. Soon our attention span drops to zero and we feel too burned out to do anything.

We can fight against this dangerous tendency in ourselves. Try the following today:

Simplify your life. Do less. Cut out one or two unnecessary activities. You don't need so many hobbies. Focus on the one or two things that are really important to you, and you'll do them better.

Manage your time. Organize your time. Schedule. Make to-do lists. Plan out your goals step-by-step, and work toward them one baby step at a time.

Slow down. When you do things too quickly, you mess up and don't enjoy the process. Many things are done better slowly, methodically, and with plenty of self-reflection. When you feel like you have all the time in the world, your mind can open up to all the creative possibilities.

Thank you so much for sharing the lesson with us. I normally prioritize all the tasks that I need to carry out. I will do the most important tasks first and the least important task last. It is my way of organizing stuff and one way of reducing stress.
